Today I woke up at 6:27, laid around until 6:30 and could not get out of the house in a timely manner. I do not know what it was, but it felt like I was trying to look in the various baskets of clothes for an extra set of pants and a hoodie that did not smell terrible for way too long. My washer has some kind of issue where one in every six washes it all smells like pure must and no soap. Sometimes we need to clean around the inner circle of the washer, sometimes a second spin cycle works. Anyways, I noticed the alarm was off and the garage door was unlocked and my mom was (kindly) cleaning off my car because apparently it was covered in snow. I had no idea it was going to snow last night, and the roads were not pleasant this morning. I thought the worst of it was done around midnight. It took me about 35 minutes (usually it takes 23) to get to work today. The sort of fluster took a while to leave me, and it imbued me with a seasonal bitterness. i am ready for winter to leave, and in late february it seems that the errant snowflakes outside my window cannot change this fact. I have to work on thursday from 7-3 and I'm considering asking my boss if he can just do thursday alone (I mean, he usually does that anyways). My routine feng shui. I listened to David Sedars' third book on audiobook, a story about a bully who knocked his tooth out with a rock but his own father made him so embarrased that he developed a sort of reverence for the kid. As the stories continue they turn from humorous to somewhat melancholic.

Do I want to live in the northwest? or in Canada? or Buffalo? Look at how february 23rd is treating me. Look at these cameras! They are so much compared to the cleared roads of my hometown. It is more a principal issue than anything, it is driving down I-71 and you are just getting pummeled with flakes. Every year I try not to let the 60 degree days in february that pass without reason not effect me too much, and I think after these two paragraphs I will make my peace with the snow. I will step outside into the freeze and remember what it was like a month ago, I will enjoy the sunrise tomorrow and I will listen to some chilly ambient to help me feel seen.

here are some of the cameras I have found today. I reccomend going on Nova Scotia Webcams when you are bored, because it is a really well made site. many of these traffic cam sites are horrible, these are wonderful. Also consulting the NYT live feed , albeit it's more focused on new york city, and my interests lie further north.
